This outstanding community hospital in Western Washington is actively interviewing for a Nursing Director lead a busy Perioperative Services department. You'll take administrative-level control of a premier Surgical Services Department. Touting an impressive patient safety rating, multiple Center of Excellence ratings, and accreditations, this established medical center is a trusted partner in the community.Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Perioperative Services Nursing Director will oversee an amazing team of specialists. Reporting to the Director is a CNOR Clinical OR Manager and a CPAN Post Anesthesia Care (PACU) Manager, who in turn oversee Nurse Supervisors, RN Charge Nurses, and a dedicated support staff of Surgical Educators, RNFAs, Scrub and Circulating RNs, and an extensive Surgical Technologist Staff.The Nursing Director over this busy, dynamic Perioperative Services department will have a crucial role to play in the successful operations of this respected medical center. Strong experience in developing budgetary and staffing policy, as well as the application of quality improvement techniques such as LEAN methodologies, will certainly help in keeping the units running smoothly.From a clinical standpoint, the Perioperative Director will play a leading role in establishing and supporting developmental initiatives for the large Surgical Services staff. Working with the health care system's Nurse Director of Education, as well as unit based Surgical Services RN Educators, you'll develop initiatives and programs to spark interest in the staff and maintain adherence to evidence-based practices.The incoming Nursing Director of Perioperative Services will play a crucial role for this busy department. A successful candidate will have experience managing operational, clinical, and administrative duties in a high-volume environment. Renowned for its use of robotic assistance for procedures, and its superior patient outcomes, the surgical services department performs a long list of procedures out of its 4 Operating Rooms, dedicated Cesarean Section (C-Section) suite, and a Procedural Suite.The Surgical Services RN Director will be joining a community founded on being a good neighbor and taking care of one another.
