The School of Nursing has an outstanding opportunity for a Graduate
Program Adviser.
The Graduate Programs Adviser is a key team member for the
operation of the School of Nursing's graduate programs (Doctor of
Nursing Practice and graduate certificate programs). This position
serves approximately 300+ full-time and part-time graduate
students, and works collaboratively with various stakeholders in
the school, predominately the DNP Program Director. This position
requires a thorough understanding of the complexities of the
school's various degree programs, graduate education, and UW
Graduate School policies.
The role is central to the Student Services team and plays a
pivotal role in the strategic advancement of the School's DNP and
Certificate programs. This role carries out a student-centered
advising approach that strengthens the student experience and is
the first point of contact for students. The individual in this
position provides students with the appropriate resources and
services that will help retain and guide students throughout the
program. This includes and is not limited to individual and group
advising sessions, tracking academic progression, ensuring
adherence to UW and School of Nursing requirements, serving as a
conduit to share resources to meet students' individual needs. This
role serves as a liaison to graduate student groups and supports
the School's coordinating committee.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Academic
Advising, the Graduate Program Adviser will provide advising
services to DNP and Certificate students and will work
collaboratively to assess and improve upon the student experience
within each program, and will help to ensure student progression
and graduation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum
qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a
license/certification/registration.
