exciting opening for a Director for Annual Philanthropy. This is a
full-time permanent position.Reporting to the Executive Director
for Annual Philanthropy, the Director for Annual Philanthropy leads
annual giving efforts across direct mail, digital and phonathon
channels to help achieve annual giving goals. This role provides
strategic direction in the development, implementation, and
evaluation of annual giving initiatives that build a long-term base
of philanthropic support for the University.What You Will Do:
- Leadership and Team Management (25%):
- Collaborate across University Advancement's central and
unit-based teams to align goals and ensure the success of annual
campaigns.
- Oversee professional development and career enrichment for
annual giving professionals.
- In partnership with the Executive Director, manage, lead, and
support the Annual Philanthropy team.
- Effectively allocate staff and budget resources to implement a
top-tier program that meets fundraising objectives.
- Strategy Development (25%):
- Engage campus and unit colleagues to build shared understanding
of annual giving goals.
- Partner closely with the Executive Director to develop key
strategies for various annual donor segments.
- Develop and execute UW's multi-channel annual giving
strategy.
- Craft compelling and cohesive messaging tailored for diverse
platforms and audiences.
- Program Development and Management (25%):
- Manage the University's annual Husky Giving Day.
- Direct the annual giving marketing budget to maximize
efficiency.
- Collaborate with Information Management to extract data and
develop annual giving reports.
- Develop data-driven approaches to segmentation and
testing.
- Relationship Management (25%):
- Work with external vendors to efficiently direct activities
across direct marketing and digital channels.
- Manage the relationship with the phonathon vendor.
- Collaborate with both central and unit partners to maximize
annual giving outcomes.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree AND
at least four years of experience in annual giving or a related
field.Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all
minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements,
such as a license/certification/registration.What You Bring:
- Demonstrated experience in annual giving, including experience
managing complex annual giving campaigns.
- Experience managing a team and supporting the professional
development of staff.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.What You Can
