inclusion.General PurposeServes as the primary contact for public
safety information during emergency response, training, exercise
support for external stakeholders, and other specialized groups
within PacifiCorp's service territory. The team is field based and
are geographically located in/near the areas they are
assigned.Primary activities during fire season, and year-round as
needed, include monitoring wildfires and reporting on conditions to
the Intel Center; deploy to wildfires when PacifiCorp
infrastructure is threatened and/or the Incident Command Post (ICP)
IC requires a PacifiCorp agency representative; provide internal
wildfire training; and external First Responder training. Provides
rotational on-call response for serious incidents across the
service territory to support all regions, divisions during
emergency events. Provides incident information and threat analysis
to PacifiCorp's Wildfire Intelligence Center, incorporates feedback
into process and program improvement recommendations.The position
requires frequent overnight travel and work is often performed
during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Coordinates public
safety activities and follow-up items with other lines of business
including corporate communications, regional business managers,
governmental relations. Contribute to the department goal by
supporting mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery of our
communities from emergencies and catastrophic
incidents.ResponsibilitiesMonitor, respond to and report on all
fires and storms affecting, or having potential to affect,
PacifiCorp electric infrastructure and non-electric
facilities.Represent PacifiCorp during fire and other emergency
incidents. Coordinate PacifiCorp's response by providing
information to manage the bulk power system, threat and potential
impacts; provide for safe access for PacifiCorp personnel or
contractors and equipment to conduct work.Develop and maintain
close working relationships with fire and emergency management
agencies throughout the service territory.Provide urgent and timely
incident information to PacifiCorp leadership and organizations,
including System Operations, Transmission, Distribution,
Generation, Claims, and Emergency Management or Emergency
Coordination Center.Enhance first responder safety by coordinating
or delivering "Electrical Safety for First Responders"
presentations to first responders and non-qualified
employees.Provide support to Emergency Preparedness where you
assist/lead projects or programs such as ECC coverage, Public
Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) program support and others as
assigned.Requirements5 years of experience as a paid
firefighter.Valid driver's license. Bachelor's Degree in applicable
field; or the equivalent combination of education and
experience.Ability to establish objectives, decision making, and
the ability to oversee multiple projects, operations, and
functions.Necessary skills to support the development or
implementation of a system, program, or process.24/7 availability
to support emergencies and disasters.Proficient with the use of
personal computers including spreadsheet (Excel), word processing
(Word), and presentation applications (Power Point) to compile,
maintain, and present information. Demonstrated excellent verbal
and written communication skills.PreferencesAdvanced
Degree.Experience and education/knowledge in wildland firefighting
is preferred.Certification as a qualified electrical worker and/or
previous electric utility experience.10 years of experience
responding to and managing emergencies/incidents for apublic
agency, utility, or first responder organization (fire suppression,
fire behavior, and wildland fire tactics, strategy and safety
experience preferred).Demonstrated knowledge of the National
Incident Management System based on completion of ICS-100-300,
IS-700, IS-800, and the FEMA Professional Development
Series.Incident Command System (ICS) Certifications preferred: IC,
OSC, PSC, LOFR, SOF, and Agency Representative.Certified Emergency
Manager (CEM) certification from the International Association of
Emergency Managers (IAEM).ESRI ArcGIS mapping experience.Experience
in Aircraft Operations. Knowledge of company's strategic plan,
objectives for specific area, as well as company policies,
procedures, and practices and federal, state, and local

for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to
