This role leads Blue Origin's Enterprise Engineering Functional
Organization, where we provide technical standards, tools,
processes, training, and technical authority to accelerate and
improve product engineering and manufacturing across our product
lines.This Vice President of Enterprise Engineering role drives the
definition and implementation of enterprise-wide engineering
excellence. This role involves leading a team of engineering
experts who define company-wide standard methodologies, provide
core expertise in chief engineering, systems engineering, material
& processes, avionics and software, flight systems, structural
analysis and engineering development processes and tools -
including model-based engineering and high levels of automation.
Leading this diverse team, you will make the Business Units more
efficient and successful in achieving safe, low-cost,
manufacturable designs leading to the vision of millions of people
living and working in space for the benefit of Earth! The
successful leader will bring to bear the expertise within the team
and strong collaborative relationships with the Business Units,
Operations and other functions that make Blue Origin world-class in
the development and manufacture of space
systems.Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for the diverse team of engineering
experts in achieving Blue's vision of millions of people living and
working in space for the benefit of Earth.
- Enable every Business Unit to execute their product lifecycles
more effectively and cost-efficiently, and to achieve high
production rates that support Blue's business objectives.
- Establish the right engineering development processes that
position Blue as a leader in lowering the cost of access to space.
Build and drive implementation of engineering infrastructure
enabling full digital thread, generative AI, innovative simulation,
and design automation.
- Partner with Business Units to define and implement roadmaps
for improved engineering development processes, emphasizing design
simplicity and design for manufacturing.
- Provide leadership and ownership for the diverse collection of
laboratories supporting the enterprise.
- Lead the staffing and deployment of Chief Engineering talent
across the Enterprise. Contribute directly to solving technical
challenges and driving innovation.
- Serve on the Senior Staff and contribute to overall company
objectives.We are looking for someone to apply their technical

and vision is required!Minimum Qualifications
- Background of full engineering leadership responsibilities, a
demonstrated track record of successful business results and deep
engineering development savvy, with a strong customer focus.
- 15+ years proven and decisive senior leadership experience in
full-lifecycle development, build and operations of complex space
systems; in-depth knowledge of aerospace engineering principles
including propulsion, aerodynamics, avionics, and materials
science.
- Experience implementing model-based engineering, digital
thread, generative AI, and design automation.
- Experience leading and motivating high-caliber technical
specialists and leaders.
- Proven understanding of business principles and how engineering
decisions impact financial performance.
- Drive data-supported decisions with a sense of urgency and
possess the ability to instill that in others.
- Passion for growing talent and identifying and rewarding
impactful leaders.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional
relationships, and contribute to a diverse, equitable and inclusive
culture.Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $258,150 to
$368,300; WA applicants is $258,150 to $368,300.Applications will
